Septic inspections are always recommended for each property transfer so the buyer can know what condition the septic tank is in.
The septic tank is located and then opened. A flow test is performed to make sure that the system can handle water flow throughout the home. Each fixture inside the home is tested to ensure the drain systems are connected properly. Then the tank is then pumped out and inspected for cracks, failures, or anything that might decrease performance.
We give you a written report after the inspection for your records. We are trained by the Maryland Onsite Wastewater Professional Association which is certified by the Maryland Board of Environmental Health Specialists.
A benefit of having an experienced licensed septic professional handle the inspection, especially with a property transfer inspection, is that if any issues are found during the inspection there is already a professional there who can assess and inform the client of what can be done to resolve the issue.

- $75 per foot to dig up to 1 foot maximum

St Mary's, Calvert, and Charles Counties
- Pricing for St Mary's: $650.00 for an inspection - Includes: digging and locating septic tank (up to 1 ft deep by hand*- machine may be necessary for an additional cost if deeper), and pumping. Pulling Health Department Records, Hydraulic testing of the system and a written report. Must be paid prior to inspection.
- *If further digging is needed a machine will be needed and cost can vary.
